Why i moved from wix to squarespace?
For several years, I used the Wix website builder. Then, I decided to modernize it and change the design from dark to light. I wanted to add sections to divide my projects across different pages. I struggled to modify the header, attempting to add extra pages, but it didn't turn out as I wanted. I never got around to changing the overall design to light either. Additionally, the website builder was terribly slow, even on a powerful workstation.
I realized I lacked the skills for website creation, but I didn't need anything unique. I just wanted a simple design where I could showcase my work in an easily viewable format. I was sure there must be a website builder that could do this intuitively.
I decided to explore alternatives to website builders, and I came across several options. I remembered SquareSpace from sponsorships in some YouTubers' videos. I decided to take a look at it and found templates for websites. Before I knew it, I was creating my website just as I envisioned. Adding a new section was no problem. I almost finished filling it in without realizing how many hours had passed.
The price was the same as Wix, but SquareSpace was more user-friendly and intuitive. It's easily customizable, and the builder interface doesn't lag like Wix. So, the choice was clear for me.
The only thing I had to work on a bit was transferring the domain.
